Fall

Every year around the same time my dad would ask me to come outside with him. He would make me stand there, close my eyes, and breath. A few deep breaths is all it took to notice. The cool air would run through my sinuses filling my lungs to the top. As I exhale my eyes would slowly open and notice the steam coming from my breath. Fall was upon us, with the leaves exhibiting their extravagant colors and wildlife making final preparation for winter, whether it were geese flying south or squirrels collecting acorns. This was my favorite time of year because it was just a time to sit back and watch nature at work.
